Brian is an Electrical Engineer with over 20 years of experience in the engineering fields of Project Management, Lighting, Power, Standby Systems, and Fire Alarm Design.
Prior to joining Shultz Engineering Group, Mr. Winkler served with various firms in the course of his career. It began as a CAD operator at Teeter Engineering Group, PA in Charlotte, NC on retail, restaurants, church, commercial and industrial building projects. Successfully completed the N.C. Engineering Intern exam during this period.
Upon graduating from the engineering program at the university, Mr. Winkler served 8 years as electrical engineer at Teeter Engineering Group, PA. Passed the N.C. Professional Engineering (PE) exam during this time. Work experience included additional variety of residential, multi-family, hotels, mixed use facilities, veterinary hospitals, and grocery stores. Performed electrical design development and construction documents for lighting, power, fire alarm systems. Visited jobsites to survey existing conditions and perform construction observations. Coordinated design with Architects, owners, and other trade designers/engineers.
Served 2 years at Gunn & Associates, PC in Montgomery, AL as an Electrical Engineer. Performed electrical design and C.A.D. drafting of schematic, design development and construction documents for lighting, power, and fire alarm systems in institutional, houses of worship, military, commercial and industrial building projects.
